Connecting gardens, groups and growers to create a more resilient food future in Darebin

NEW Oakhill Community Food Justice Farm

We’re excited to announce that Sustain The Australian Food Network are expanding their hands-on work in urban agriculture and food justice, with the development of a new Food Justice Farm in Oakhill Village!

They’ll soon begin work to transform St. Mary’s Vicarage and carpark, located in Preston, into a multi-functional urban farm. Through a collaborative design process, they’ll be building a space for engagement, education, growing healthy food, connecting with nature, and contributing to local food security.

Darebin City Council is proud to support this fantastic project which is an important step towards the realisation of Sustain’s vision of a multi-site Urban Farm Food Justice and Training Network which will have significant benefits for the Oakhill and wider Darebin community.
