Connecting gardens, groups and growers to create a more resilient food future in Darebin

Volunteers wanted at Farmer Incubator’s new Community Education Farm this Saturday!

Farmer Incubator is looking for volunteers to help as they establish their new Community Education Farm located at Bundoora Park Farm! Their Community Education Farm will host two programs: their beginners Pop Up Garlic Farmers Program and a new intermediate Step Up Farmer Training Program where they will be supporting a farm traineeship to steward a garlic crop from seed to market.

The tasks on the day will include broad forking the area, digging in compost and forming the beds. No experience necessary, come and give it a try! It’ll be a great opportunity to see how crops are grown at scale and a good way to spend a morning in the sunshine with your hands in the soil, meeting like-minded local people who are into gardening and growing.

When: Saturday 25th March, 10am – 1pm
Where: Bundoora Park Farm, 1069 Plenty Rd, Bundoora VIC 3083
Bookings: RSVP to amy@farmerincubator.org

Please bring water, hat, sunscreen, gloves (if you use them), a snack to keep you going, or you can purchase food at the Bundoora Park Farm Cafe.

Visit the Farmer Incubator website for more information about their programs.
