Are you determined to reduce your fashion waste after watching the new season of War on Waste? Come and join the clothes swap event at East Preston Community Centre!
Meet Darebin Council’s Sustainable Consumption team who will be there to talk about the community consultation on waste, while you have morning tea and wait for your clothes to be sorted.
Health Assessments will also be available with nursing students from La Trobe University.
How does it work?
Bring 1-5 items of clothing or accessories to add to the swap collection pool. Clothing will be checked by our team, then added to the display. You can only begin taking and trying on swap items once the swap is officially declared open.
Important things to note:
- This event is for Darebin residents only.
- Items brought in for the swap MUST be clean and in good condition. Only bring items you would be happy to give to a friend.
- We can’t guarantee guests will find their exact sizes as it depends on what other guests bring; Regardless, accessories are included in the pool, so there should be something for everyone. Therefore, we encourage ALL SIZES to participate in the swap. This swap is for all genders so we welcome clothing designed for male, female, adaptive and all body types.
