Darebin’s intergenerational gardening program trial ‘BUDS’ is taking on new participants.
Darebin Council have partnered with not-for-profit organisation Lively to run this 6-month trial. If you need a helping hand in your garden, BUDS will pair you with a young person from the local area who can help with mulching, planting, pruning, setting up a vegetable garden, or just tidying up around the yard.
Buds is available to Darebin residents over 65, or Aboriginal and Torres Islander people over 50.
There are limited spots available. Call the friendly team at Lively on 9070 4746 to check out the Lively website to find out more.
