Connecting gardens, groups and growers to create a more resilient food future in Darebin

DIVRS market

DIVRS, a Preston-based community organisation that provides free services, programs and information for people who live, study and volunteer in Darebin, has started a new project to help fill 200 fresh food parcels for local households. They will be at Alphington Farmers’ Market on Sundays, 2nd March and 16th March, where you can talk to them about the project and the other ways that they support Darebin families experiencing food insecurity with fresh, healthy and culturally appropriate food. As part of this project, they are asking you to:

  1. Buy fresh food from any stallholder at the market.
  2. Leave it in a DIVRS crate.
  3. DIVRS will then pack and share the food.
