It’s been a great season for citrus here in Darebin. The Darebin Fruit Squad has already had over 500kgs of fruit donated since June.
It’s time to give some love back to those hard-working trees so the Fruit Squad are inviting you to a free Citrus Tree Pruning workshop with Christy from the Fruit Tree Folk. You’ll be hands on in the Bundoora Park Farm orchard learning methods & techniques for pruning citrus trees including:
- how to assess your tree before pruning
- where to make your pruning cuts
- how much to take off
- improving the shape and size of the tree
- increasing sunlight exposure
- general citrus tree health and management
