Connecting gardens, groups and growers to create a more resilient food future in Darebin

Thanks Neighbour! Community Event, Fri 15 March

Thanks Neighbour is a FREE and fun community event at Keon Park Childrens Hub on Fri 15 March 4-6:30pm. Swap your pre-loved clothes/toys/books, enjoy the free BBQ, and cuddle the adorable native animals from Wild Action Animal Zoo.

Join Darebin City Council for an exciting line up of events focused on tackling food waste! 🍽️ Learn delicious ways to use up those old veggies from your fridge at a pickling demonstration by Open Table. Then dive deeper into how to get the most out of your home food and green waste bins with our food waste recycling info sessions.

There’ll also be a chance to chat with Council staff about local Darebin initiatives, including the Solar Saver Program, Darebin Loves Bikes and Darebin’s Climate Emergency Strategy. 🌿🌏
