Connecting gardens, groups and growers to create a more resilient food future in Darebin

Final days to tell us what you think of Darebin’s draft Climate Emergency Plan

We would love Darebin’s food and garden community to complete the short survey and give your feedback on the draft Climate Emergency Plan! Do the proposed goals and actions support Council and community to take strong action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions? Will they help make our community stronger and more resilient, and support those people most impacted?

All the information about the Plan and ways to participate in the consultation is available from yoursay.darebin.vic.gov.au/climate. You can’t complete the survey without having read the Plan first. It’s quite a long plan and the survey focuses you on two aspects: do the goals allow us to reach the visions for each pillar, and what is missing from the actions. There is an action in the Community Resilience Pillar around a food scoping study which we would particularly like your feedback on.

You’ll note that the survey is for individuals to complete as it requires demographic information for each respondent, but there is also an option to respond as a group or organisation, via a submission to our email address climateemergency@darebin.vic.gov.au.

Consultation closes 7 April 2024.  Thank you from the Climate Emergency Programs team on behalf of Darebin Council – climateemergency@darebin.vic.gov.au for any questions.
