Connecting gardens, groups and growers to create a more resilient food future in Darebin

Some great resources to help you practice collaborative food consumption…

Swap Shuffle Share – Connecting home-grown food gardeners.

Sharing Abundance – Local food system to harvest and distribute otherwise wasted fruit and other produce from backyards.

Landshare Australia – Connects those who have land to share with those who need land for cultivating food.

Darebin Fruit Squad – A community fruit harvesting project, which was an initiative of Transition Darebin that has evolved in partnership with Jika Jika Community Centre along with support funding from Darebin City Council.  Trained volunteers harvest local back yard fruit trees and redistribute the fruit to agencies, like SecondBite, who supply food insecure people.
