Darebin’s Sustainable Food Leaders provided input on Darebin’s Urban Food Production Strategy during the scoping and objective setting phase last December. They also participated in focus group discussions at the Sustainable Food Leaders Forum on June 17th which provided valuable feedback on the proposed Vision and Key Action Areas of the Draft Strategy.
A finalised Strategy which incorporates this feedback, as well as other input from internal and external stakeholders is now being considered for adoption by Council on Monday 4th August.
The Strategy and Communal Food Garden (Community Garden) Assessment guidelines are attached below, as well as a summary of the feedback and responses from the many consultation sessions held.
