International Women’s Day – an online conversation

Young Farmers Connect is thrilled to invite you very special International Women’s Day event as they join the international movement and conversation about gender equality and a world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination for female farmers.

They will take a deep dive into diversity through the lived experience of 4 amazing female farmers: Tanya Massy, Thanisa Adams, Oliva Awaritefe and Kate McBride; enriched with the published expertise of Dr Lucie Newsome and woven by our fellow change-maker and cherished storyteller Maree Lowes.

This year’s IWD2022 campaign theme is #BreakTheBias. They will be exploring through conversation and interactive activities how we can imagine a gender-equal world for our female farmers and follow the core discussion points of this years IWD events :

  • A world that is free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination.
  • A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.
  • A world where difference is valued and celebrated.
