Connecting gardens, groups and growers to create a more resilient food future in Darebin

Introducing Reservoir East’s newest community garden!

The Reservoir East Primary Community Garden is a growing community space where students, parents and members of the local community have been growing organic fruit and vegetables.

Established in 2019, the garden has several wicking garden beds, a fruit orchard, compost and recycling centre and hügelkultur beds.

They have plans to build a chicken run in the future, and later this year will be hosting a series of working bees to plant a native tree plantation.

The garden is open every Wednesday 9-11am to anyone with an interest in gardening, sustainability or just having a cup of tea.

Join their Facebook group to find out what this garden is up to.
