Learn to prune your fruit trees, 8 March

Late summer* is a great time to prune your fruit trees!

The pruning cuts heal faster, leaving the trees less susceptible to disease. It also gives the trees time to grow more fruit-bearing wood before the next fruiting season, meaning more yummy fruit for you!

If you’d like to learn how, join DIVRS at our FREE Fruit Tree Pruning workshop.

Angelo Eliades from Deep Green Permaculture will show you:

  • how to assess your tree before pruning
  • where to make your pruning cuts
  • how much to take off
  • how to prune different types of trees
  • how to keep your tools sharp and clean, so bring along your secateurs!

Where: the beautiful Newton St Community Garden at the East Preston Community Centre (7 Newton St. Reservoir)
When: Wednesday 8th March 2023 @10:30 – 12pm
