Sustain are hosting a free webinar with two of the key leaders on the UK Right to Food campaign on Monday 29th May at 6pm AEST.
They will be discussing the origins, progress, and prospects of the movement, as well as inspiration for Australian adoption. We’re inviting Dr Sharon Noonan-Gunning from City University, London (UK) and Ian Byrne, MP for Liverpool West Derby (UK) to share their work on this campaign.
The Right to Food campaign begins with the premise that food poverty and hunger are not ‘natural’ phenomena that we must simply accept, but rather matters of political choice.
This webinar is a unique opportunity for an Australian audience to hear about the emergence and progress of an inspiring campaign and draw lessons for building a similar movement to end food poverty here in Australia.
This webinar is free but you *will need to book your spot*, as we are expecting this one to reach capacity – so don’t delay!
