Connecting gardens, groups and growers to create a more resilient food future in Darebin

Introducing Darebin’s new Little Seed Libraries!

We’re excited to announce that the first two of our Little Seed Libraries have been installed and are now open to the community for borrowing!

Gardeners are welcome to borrow seeds to grow at home. Just remember to return your saved seeds to the library at the end of the season.

We would like to thank local seed saver champion, Kat Lavers, for her generous donation of local heirloom seeds to the project, lovingly grown and saved from The Plummery in Northcote.

You can find the seed libraries here:

If you already have a local seed library and want to be listed on the DFHN website, contact and we’ll add you to the map.
